One of my friends just posted a photo of a sunrise from Mamba Bay, Nuarro Mozambique on Facebook (yes, I'm already on Facebook at 7:00am in the morning) and it is a stunning shot! I looked at it and took a moment to send a loving intention to her there and then used it to feed my own dreams to travel the world.
My Twitter ID is LBDinNYC for my initials and the city I call home. Yesterday, while signing up for Words With Friends (the iPhone App that lets you play a game of Scrabble with any other iPhone user -- fun!) I chose something new. I chose LBDtraveler because I decided that I want to travel and I am now ready. Further to that end, I am going to renew my passport which was lost about 2 years ago. There are so many places I haven't been to that I'm just yearning to see.
A good friend of mine is traveling to the Wanderlust festival of music and yoga in California in a few weeks http://www.wanderlustfestival.com/. It will likely be a week of bliss, this combination of her two passions, so I've asked her to contribute a post to my blog so we can all be inspired by some of her travels. Stay tuned for that.
In dance, we learn that in order to rise and get extension we must have a strong foundation. You literally root to rise. Do you have dreams of rising or perhaps seeing more of the world? Maybe it's not the literal travel bug that's biting you but do you want to grow and transform by visiting new territories in yourself? If so, living in acceptance and getting grounded as is will mean you can evolve to the next place with ease. I used to think the opposite was true.I was afraid getting grounded and established in my present circumstances would mean I'm locking into them and I'll get stuck. I see clearly now that the opposite is true. I need a solid foundation to provide the proper base from which to launch.
I am excited to co-create a vision for myself that has me safely traveling the world. A morning meditation practice is a great time to feed any vision of expansion you have for yourself. I am using the video below and by all means, if your dream is an Italian vacation -- enjoy! :) Or, find something you really want and just take 5 minutes this morning to bring it into your play space and feel it here now. This work brings you into alignment with allowing what you want and invites the Universe to respond in kind.
I can SO see having a gig like this woman. Voglio andare in Italia! I studied 3 semesters of Italian at Cornell and that's all I remember as of today, but it's enough!
Closing thought: I am a traveler with a strong foundation who is now ready to explore new worlds and territories, inside and out.
Have a great day today!!
With xo and gratitude,
Lindsay
