Home is where and with whom YOUR HEART MELTS

Good morning!!

Super quick post before I unpack my groceries (#procrastination) and head to intenSati with Darbi Worley !

I take acting class with Tom Todoroff (on a brief hiatus at the moment to focus on my play Brattleboro in the Strawberry One Acts Festival, purchase tickets for SERIES F here!!! ) and each week talented, predominantly unknown New York artists perform their hearts (or some version thereof). A few weeks ago, two actors in the class who are also singers did a cover of the song HOME by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros (Who? I didn't know them) and it made me cry. :) Then, they posted the video on YouTube/FB, which I just watched, and it made me cry again!!

It just touches, dare I say melts, my heart.

Does it have that effect on you?

It's the tenderness, the love, the musicality, the harmony and the humility of the performance that gets me, for starters, but it's best left unanalyzed.

I realize more and more that HOME is a feeling.

Looking at two artists on a bare stage or a packed house with lots of new babies (CONGRATS P AND K!) or a feeling of peace from within, it is all HOME and it starts from within, always.

Don't you want to be with people who melt your heart with their kindness, their passion, their love? I DO.

Melting my own heart
with my own kindness
my own passion
my own love
that is the gateway.
